Although he never appeared in the cassettes, Marty played a key role in the early days of Reldni. Marty mixed and edited most of the Vampire Wrestling Story master tape, and he duplicated copies of the original Reldni Newsletter and developed many recording techniques used by the Reldni studio. By the time The Mystery Of Stony Blawn was written, Marty was vice president and his partner Troy Scott had taken charge of Reldni.
Although Marty Butler had left Reldni before The Secret Of Troy Scott's Scratchy Records, his creative contribution to the project can not be overlooked. It is evident from the surviving script that Marty had planned to appear as himself in a story titled The Mystery Of Stony Blawn.
